Evian Teams Up with Wimbledon for an Exclusive Competition Experience

As the design lead for Evian’s Wimbledon 2024 competition, I was entrusted with the critical task of creating a cohesive and visually compelling digital experience. From designing the competition’s layout to ensuring accessibility compliance, my role was pivotal in bringing this campaign to life.

 

Objective

My primary objective was to design an engaging and user-friendly competition layout that not only aligned with Evian’s brand standards but also ensured a smooth handoff to development. The goal was to create a seamless experience across all digital touchpoints, from the landing page to system emails, while adhering to strict accessibility guidelines.

 
 

My Role

Competition Layout Design: I spearheaded the design of the entire competition flow, ensuring each element—from the ‘Coming Soon’ page to the ‘Entry Form’—was visually appealing and easy to navigate.

Design System Implementation: To facilitate smooth communication between the design and development teams, I established a clear and concise design system. This system served as a guide, ensuring that all digital assets were consistent and that developers could efficiently translate designs into functional components.

Accessibility Compliance: A key focus of my role was to ensure that all digital elements met or exceeded accessibility standards, such as WAI WCAG 2.0. This involved optimizing the design for a range of devices and ensuring that every aspect of the user experience was inclusive and accessible to all users.

 
 

Learnings

This project reinforced the importance of a well-structured design system in facilitating effective collaboration between design and development. Additionally, the focus on accessibility highlighted the need for inclusive design practices in all digital projects, ensuring that every user has a positive experience.
