Brighton Blood Cancer support Group
The Brighton Blood Cancer Support Group provides a vital meeting space for individuals affected by cancer and their loved ones to receive support outside of the hospital environment. They sought a new brand identity to present a more professional image, distinct from the typical hospital or NHS appearance.
I designed a logo using friendly, muted tones to create a gentle and welcoming feel, with shapes symbolising support and togetherness. As a best practice in logo design, it is advisable to provide multiple options tailored to different contexts. For this project, I created both a standalone icon and a version that includes the work mark.
Brand Guidelines
Additionally, I developed a comprehensive guide to ensure proper and consistent use of the logo, protecting the brand’s integrity. Brand guidelines are essential for maintaining the integrity and impact of any brand design. Providing these guidelines at the conclusion of a project ensures that both internal teams and external users adhere to best practices, preventing any misuse that could tarnish the brand. This clarity helps the brand remain strong and effective over time.
